Amps are the new 'U'

When building server environments, you used to need just two things. Physical space in a cabinet up at your ISP - and also Internet connection bandwidth.
Today, there is another factor to consider. Power.
In the old days - you bought a full cabinet, you used a full cabinet. The smaller your server, the more servers you could squeeze in. Naturally, the proliferation of small yet power hungry servers meant that something had to give. ISPs started charging for power used and suddenly, and nowadays it's commonplace to buy an entire cabinet, but only be able to fill half of it without having to pay for more power.
A recent deployment of Yottaserves infrastructure demonstrates the beauty of YotEnv brilliantly. 10 brand new dual CPU systems were installed up at an ISP who restricted the customer to just 5 amps. The system ended up needing just 4 amps.
It was estimated that a traditional setup would have needed at least 8amps - twice the amount.
Half the amps = half your hosting costs.
Less Co2 - so it's better for the planet.
So at last being environmentally friendly actually saves you money!
